FIRM DESCRIPTION

Borg & Borg was established in 1971 and incorporated in 1976. We are a full service General Insurance Agency. Edward, Sylvia & David Borg were the original founders. Although Edward and Sylvia Borg have retired, when needed they are available as a consultant to the company. David Borg, now President, is in charge of the day-to-day operations.

We are a family business and as such are dedicated to the well being of our clients. We do what it takes to get the job done and to keep our many clients satisfied. We believe you will agree, that dedicated hard work is one of the keys to client satisfaction.

Presently we have a staff of 14. We are small enough to give personalized service yet big enough to have earned professional recognition from our peers as well as from insurance carriers.

Our staff has been with the firm an average of 12 years and has an average experience of 21 years in the insurance industry.

MISSION STATEMENT

Our Mission at Borg & Borg, Inc. is to reach the highest degree of excellence in the Insurance and Risk Management fields, continuing to build on our longtime reputation for integrity and stability.

At the same tune we will strive to provide our Clients and Friends with the best level of protection, This we will accomplish through Quality Products and Superlative Service. Recognizing that the cornerstone of any business is the performance of its staff, we will do all that we can to encourage the development of ethical, energetic, creative and professional staff whose principles reflect pride in our company.

We know that this cannot be accomplished without the full cooperation of our staff to work as a team and so we have set the following goals to guide and encourage them.

STAFF QUALIFICATIONS

David Borg
David has been in the Insurance industry since 1971. He holds a Degree in Insurance, Banking, & Real Estate. David received his Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation in October 1985 and his Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation in July 1988. He achieved his Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation in August 1999. He is presently pursuing his CRM designation. He continues to attend numerous courses and seminars increasing his education and skill level.

JoAnn Conboy
JoAnn has been in the insurance business since 1987. JoAnn handles a multitude of tasks. Included within is Claims, Life, Accident & Health quotations. She also heads up our very active marketing program. JoAnn takes great pride in making certain that our client's needs are met with diligence and accuracy.

Janice Goody
Janice started working in the insurance industry when she was 21, receiving her NY State License in 1966. She has recently finished her tenure as president of the Federation of NY Insurance Professionals. Janice is well versed in the intricate detail needed to provide customer service at the highest level. Her skills have allowed her to service national public companies as well as highly intricate accounts. She has received numerous accolades from clients and company personnel alike, for her 'Service above Self' approach to taking care of people's needs. She has completed working on her CIC designation and is now pursuing her CRM designation..

Susan Goss Saparito
Susan Goss Saparito has been in the insurance business since 1977. She holds an Associate Degree in Business Administration. She attained her Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation in 1989. She is currently pursuing her CPCU designation and received her NY State Insurance license in 1982. Susan has held various positions throughout her career. She is now overseeing the sale of products to clients.

Patricia Muldoon Jost
Patti has been in the insurance business since 1984, receiving her New York State Brokers license in 1988. Patti has worked in various positions in the insurance field through out her career. She is currently in sales and marketing for new and existing clients.

Kathy Puco
Kathy has been in the insurance industry since 1974. She has a NYS Property & Casualty License, a NYS Life, Accident and Health License, and an Associate Degree in Business. She is knowledgeable in all areas of insurance but especially enjoys the personal contact with our clients.

Karen Pareso
Joining our firm in January 2001, Karen has already demonstrated that she has the skills and knowledge to handle the toughest questions and take on the biggest situations. Karen is presently perusing additional educational skills. Like others in the agency she also has her NY State Insurance License. Karen is ready and eager to serve all your insurance needs.

Rosemary Magee
Joining our firm in March 1999, Rose has many years of experience working for numerous Insurance carriers. She too has the skills and knowledge to handle the toughest questions and take on the biggest challenges. She is cool, calm and collected. Like the other Account Managers, Rose is one of our Attorney-In-Fact and handles many of our clients Bonding needs. Rose is ready, willing and able to serve all your insurance needs. Rose has also attained her CISR designation.

Joanne Realmuto
Joanne has been in the insurance business since 1998; Joanne services the needs of our personal lines accounts handling them with the TLC that we give all of our clients. She is working on attaining her ACSR (Account Customer Service Representative) designation. Joanne has steadily improved her skills in the agency and is responsible for a multitude of personal line client service needs. Her hard work and desire to please our clients promptly and accurately is a feather in her cap.

 


 

CUSTOMER SERVICE

 We have always believed that more than one person should be aware of all facets of each client's account. Our feeling on this issue is that when a client calls us, he or she has a question to be answered or a need to be filled. (It's not too often that a client calls us to just chitchat.) This approach allows us to answer that question or fill that need immediately.

The faster we take care of our clients ... the happier they are. With this in mind, there would be a team assigned to service your needs and requirements. The team would consists of

  • Account Executive
  • Account Manager
  • Bookkeeping / Accounting Personnel
  • Claims Servicing Representative

Our normal business hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. We do however; have personnel in the office as early as 8:00 AM and as late as 6:00 PM, on a regular basis. Weekend and evening hours vary to accommodate you. Our Fax line is operational 24 Hours a day, or you can contact us via email at insurance@borgborg.com .

We also include talks on your future plans, goals, and direction. We discuss the general atmosphere of competition in not only your industry, but also in the insurance industry. Topics such as markets, coverage availability, and pricing - are just a few items discussed. In doing so, we feel we will be better able to serve your current and future needs.

Our discussions would also focus on any adverse loss history you may have encountered and what steps might be available to get back on track. Depending on the outcome of information developed above, specific goals are then established. They will 'include setting goals, means of obtaining them, means for measuring their obtainability, verification of non conflicting issues and of course, a time frame for compliance.

Further modifications and adjustments are made accordingly.
All in all, the idea here is to become an integral part of our client's operation
